THE PROCESS

The GRN process is simple and custom designed to work with your firm’s specific recycling, reuse, liquidation and logistical needs. Typically, the process begins with GRN staff touring your facility to examine materials to be removed. The project can encompass any or all of the following:

  • Complete demolition of building with salvaging and recycling of all materials
  • Interior demolition of building with salvation and recycling of materials
  • Liquidation of materials
  • Logistics for moving materials
  • Recycling new construction materials
  • Recycling of on-going business operation materials
  • Construction Waste Management Plans for LEED™ projects
  • Greening of existing buildings (waste and environmental audits)

* The materials can consist of any building material, furnishing, equipment, or other items that need to be diverted from landfills.

After a tour of your facility/project, we will provide a free proposal for reuse and/or recycling.  The proposal includes specific strategies that the GRN can implement to accomplish your project goals for the most efficient allocation of salvage and / or waste materials. The Green Recycling Network strategies may include:

  • Finding highest value markets of salvage items under a revenue sharing agreement 
    that returns the highest proportion of dollars to you
  • Improving logistical operations to move salvage items
  • Finding highest value markets for recycled items
  • Improving logistical operations to move recycled items
  • Providing a single point of contact for all reuse and/or recycling operations
  • Providing documentation of results (documents can be used for LEED™ certification)
  • Developing a hierarchy for allocating salvageable and/or non-salvageable items

This process is designed to provide your firm more value (lower cost or more profit) than traditional disposal methods. We have reduced deconstruction budgets by half for many of our projects, and have provided profits directly back to customers for liquidation of salvaged items. 

In order to provide the maximum value back to your firm, we recommend contacting the GRN early in the design phase of your project.

Landfill diversion rates can exceed 90% for our customers.
